The conference of the International Association of Landscape Ecology (IALE) was held in Baltimore, US, April, 2017. During this meeting, project team members presented research advances during a workshop and a symposium. The workshop explored the development and applications of the “Telecoupling Toolbox”, which can inform decision-making. Because of the symposium “Telecoupled People and Landscapes among Distant Places around the World”, a synthesis article about spillover systems was published in the journal of Current Opinion in Environmental Sustainability.

A member of the Telecoupling Consortium, Dr. Ramon B.F. da Silva, was a recipient of the NASA-MSU Professional Enhancement Award.
